Irregular Sleeping Hours.

Okay, i wanted to be funny by putting the title as, 'Irregular Period.'

But i decided not to cause it's so lame and that I'm trying to change my image to a demure and elegant lady, which i had been doing so and trying hard since my jaycee days, but to no avail.

Anyway, i'd been sleeping at irregular hours lately cause i'll return home late on some days, and i'll wait like an idiot for my hair to dry before i go to my bed.

Else, i'll position myself at the highest 'nua' mode level, lie on my bed with laptop in front, fall into deep sleep within minutes, msn status 'busy', and ignoring my friends who talked to me on msn.

They must be thinking like,' Wth, talk to you still don't want to reply. Act dao only.'

Then i'll wake up at 6am in a grumpy mode, stretched my whole body - legs still on the bed, to off the light, check all the msn messages, ignore and put my laptop back on to the desk and fall back into the deep sleep mode.

Cause of this, i was late for this morning's gathering.

Orh man.

While most people choose to have their outing/gathering in the noon, evening, night or midnight, the people who're going Linköping with me choose to have the pre-departure gathering in the morning at Somerset's Freshly Baked for breakfast.

Hmmmm.

Obviously, i couldn't wake up on time and had to rush all my way from Serangoon down to Somerset and felt a bit paisei for letting them wait for me.

Abit only lar, cause i'm quite thick skinned you see. LOL!

Anyway, it felt kind of weird now to see myself in thick coats, scarfs and boots, and i can't imagine myself one month later, living in a town that has an average temperature of minus 3 for the month of January.

So we were on this topic about passport, and we were cracking some lame jokes about it, so this guy went like,' You know Saudi Arabia/Arab people, they cover their whole face except the eyes, so it's like they can easily exchange passport and pass the custom cause the custom people wouldn't be able to recognise them anyway.'

I forgot is SA or Arab but is somewhere along that line, and it's really amusing cause i pictured the whole scene and burst out laughing.

Okay, i should really brush up on my cycling skills cause they're going to cycle to school and i sucked at cycling.

Apparently, all of them are going over to Sweden earlier, like a week or so before the orientation starts. Only crystal and me are the ai zai one, who plan to arrive one day earlier before the orientation.

Thinking of how to settle my pillow, bedsheet and blanket now. Hmmmmm.

HELLOWEEEEN!

This is a super outdated post, think it took place a few months ago during Halloween.

We didn't meet up cause is Halloween, it's more of like, it's Halloween when we met up.

Understand? It doesn't matter if you can't cause it doesn't matter. LOL.

Met up with LSY and had some mini-bites before meeting the guys.

The mini sized doughnuts make this sinful treats appear to be less sinful and the Japanese fish-shaped type of small bites doesn't taste as nice as what i expected it to be.

Some of the flavours tasted quite weird though.

Shared this chocolate banana crepe cause i wanted something sweet to create the sugar rush effect cause i was exhausted after a whole day of school.

The reason why we're back to Player's Cafe again is to finish up this bottle of whiskey, and cause i was so tired, not in the mood for drinking.

I had like a few sips throughout the whole night while the rest of them tried their best to finish it.

The waiter's costume was quite cool though, and the pen they used to take order is in knife-shaped.

Snow white and vampire. The snow white so sweet looking and vampire looks funny. Like not very scary. LOL.

Ordered some fingerfood cause EK was hungry.

The sausage platter which we had the previous time tasted much better than this seafood platter.

The amount and quality they served like a bit cheat money one.

Buffalo wings which tasted weird and the sauce they used was quite bad. Like a wrong combination type.

Well, I'm not particularly fussy with my food, and that i'm quite an adventurous eater, just that some food is really cannot make it, better to take note than to waste money next time.

This is probably the best comfort food that night, a simple burning hot wedges with mustard cheese cream.

Seriously, the whole place is freezing cold. It was pouring like mad outside, and freezing like north pole inside.  Need something real hot to warm up the whole body.

We played several games that night, and i totally sucked at 'Connect Four' partially cause i was mentally drained but well, i'm good at poker.

LOL.

Acted abit with Adrain, the boss, and i somehow feel that my eyes are scarier than his.

Wk's coming to NTU maritime studies next semester and we were talking about his course the other day.

Town.

Bought a mini Bakerzin Chicago Cheesecake for Crystal today cause from what i observed, she likes cheesecake.

Yar, i say only. The fact is, she told me before that she likes cheesecake. LOL!

It's really smooth and rich, and their birthday tag is forever so unique.

Apparently, it's Starbucks birthday today too, and the staffs were singing birthday song loudly and cutting cake to celebrate Starbucks birthday.

Like duh, i mean.. so the coffee bean will cheer to themselves and say,' Hurray! We're one year older now!!'?

Will they?

No complains though, cause they were nice enough to share their joy with us, their loyal customer, 2 slices of their birthday cake.

Can see abit of the Starbucks logo. 

It looks and tasted like Secret Recipe's Banana Chocolate cake, sweet and since it's free, it's nice. 

Starbucks is really good, they allow us to study, leech on their electricity supply for laptop, bring in outside food, share their joy with us, and their drinks are so much nicer than coffee bean.

Woah, it makes me feels like clicking the button and becoming a fan of theirs on Facebook.

After which, headed down to Somerset for a mini-winter-wear-shopping-session at the new Somerset shopping mall.

It looks kind of grand with their sparkling escalator and high ceiling. Seems like Orchard is undergoing an extreme makeover kind of thing.

The fact that i'm trapped at Pulau NTU for quite some time, it's been a long long time since i last stepped into Orchard and it amazed me with its new look.

This is my new look. Instantly dumpling-fied, the eskimo-wanna-be.

I didn't buy this though, got myself a few long johns thermal wear and an outer wear coat.

Then i realised i bought the wrong size home and am making another trip down to town tomorrow to exchange. -.-

Waste time only, plus the coat is so bulky! Which means i'll have to carry it around tomorrow when i'm out with the girls.

Luckily YJH was kind enough to accompany me, on the account that i treat her to bubble milk tea, else i'll be sulking my way down to town alone tomorrow before meeting the rest.

Dinner was at Marche, cause neko had a craving for their rosti.

It's been long since i last dine at Marche, the last was probably during dog's 18th birthday? Gosh.

But still, their interior design is as cool and homely as before.

Feels very much like a noisy market with fresh ingredients on sale.

A very creamy and thick mushroom soup.

The much desired rosti.

The signboard says,' Healthy and delicious crepe!'

Healthy maybe, but delicious scam one. Not that fantastic, still got some room for improvement.

This calamari also another scam. It looked so succulent and juicy when it's placed on other people's table, tempt me to order so that i can savour it.

But it tasted ordinary, abit bland to be exact, and it just taste so different from it's appearance. Kena scam.

By then we were already bloated with the food and thank you neko for treating me! :D

Visited town a few days ago to catch midnight Mulan and tour around town abit.

It was so freaking packed at about 9 plus pm that i experienced difficulty walking through the crowd.

Singaporeans don't need to go home one meh. -.-

Well, despite the crowd, i acted like a retarded tourist, got excited by some of the Christmas decoration, pose and take, pose and take.

This reindeer so dull and black in colour. So poor thing, everyday stand under the sun for so long, sun burnt until black. =/

Maybe i should give it some whitening cream to use

Saw many people carrying SLR walking around and taking the night scenery and Christmas lightings.

Looking at SLR reminds me of leck and jane only. LOL.

It was one plus when Mulan ended and i happened to see this pair of couple taking their wedding photo in the middle of Orchard!

That's like so sweet and cool! I can totally imagine the photos with all the nice lights and the vibrancy of Orchard.

How awesome.

Total contrast from what we experienced few hours before.

Probably it's time for all the kids to go home and sleep early while old people like me, continue to roam around the streets aimlessly.

We took advantage of the empty street and took more retarded shots with the reindeer. :D

Live Update.

Since i didn't open a twitter account, i shall do a mini-size update here.

Life is pretty hectic, busy and fun recently, and i'm having muscle aches all over my body now.

After days of nua-ing, fun and rest, i'm back at Starbucks again, with crystal, to face the reality and start planning for our trip.

Hoho.

Orh man, there's so much things to do.

Tried their mango passion fruit for the first time and it tasted quite ordinary to me, probably cause my taste buds are not sensitive enough to pick up the difference in taste.

Meeting neko at town later to shop for some winter-wear.

Hopefully i can get some cheap bargain and it'll be a fun day ahead.

Today was seriously hilarious, laughed so hard that it made me teared. 

Biostatistics is finally finally finally OVER.

The much dreaded normal distribution question did came out for essay but the fact that i'm so blessed by all the divine saints up there, who decided to show their mercy on me, gave me 2 theory questions out of the 4 essay questions at Part C.

So that i won't stare at Part C, at the 4 essay questions for the entire 2.5 hours, thinking about my impending doom and planing my suicide attempt after the paper's over.

Orh yar, the normal distribution test was like totally different from jaycee. Yes you can still use graphic calculator, but need to apply formula, and don't know what don't know what. Everything don't know.

5 minutes before exam and i'm still trying to memorise the sequence to key in normal variables into GC. Siens.

P/S: The other two were some weird looking maths normal distribution weird weird weird looking questions. Got percentile? Draw graph. 

And cause i can only do simple maths and calculations say, up to 10.

So by default, i skipped all the high level maths question and opt for theory questions that involve simple 'key-in-calculator-press-enter-get-answer' type of questions.

Okay, 2 more to go. Microbiology and experimental cell biology. BAH.

Made a trip down to Sweden Embassy today, wanted to submit my bank statement so that i can settle the permit asap and that i'm able to strike one thing off my to-do-list which had been there for say 1 month plus.

There i was, right at their doorstep, to be greeted by their, ' Sorry we're closed today due to internal staff training, office hours will resume tomorrow etc etc.'

Damn it.

Wasted my time, my trip and argh, i can think of all possible reasons to swear at them but i didn't cause, there were people beside me.

So i just sulked my way out from that building while cursing hard at heart.

Who knows, the worse is not over yet. Reached school, took my 203 paper and screw it thoroughly inside out.

Misread questions, misread diagram, missed out so many things that i rather missed the exam in the first place than to take it and regret.

The people around me, well, cryz and al, had to take my emo-ness for 2 hours and tried their best to cheer me up, gave me an apple pie and well..

Well.

Orh well. But thank you, cause i appreciate the thought and laughter. Muwaha.

Regenerated myself 2 hours later after the paper ended, felt abit better and fell right back to hell when al mentioned about the paper again when we're about to go home.

I was right by telling rich to prepare a rope for me before the exam start so that i can hang myself straight after it.

Siannnn. This will probably be my worst paper in NTU so far. Hopefully it'll just stop here and my luck will resume from this moment onwards.

For now, i can only hope and pray that the bell curve will show it's mercy and be generous on me so that i can still erm, i can still maintain my GPA please.. =x

Enough ranting. I should face the fact and go back to the much dreaded biostats.

My last paper's on the very last day of exam, how awesome.

Half the cohort are already enjoying their holiday but why bio paper always end so late lehhhh.

Today's weather was absurdly cold, fingers frozen, homoeostasis took place which results in body shivering.

Vasoconstriction took place simultaneously and generate/retain heat to keep the body warm.

Canteen A seemed to be air-conditioned suddenly and, well, it's just cold.

It's only 25°C now, i wonder how am i going to survive through >5°C in a few months time.

Bro came down to NTU for me, to sign some official document for INSTEP. He was kind enough to offer me a ride back to school from SSC building and asked me to give him directions.

Me: Eh, you go straight.
Bro: Okay, sure?
Me: Yar.. should be.

3 seconds later..

Me: Eh! Stop stop! I think it's the other way round.
Bro: Siao eh! Your own school you don't know your way meh?!
Me: Urhh.. I think you just alight me at the road side, i walk back myself. -.-

Come on, i don't drive to school. How i know which route to take back to north spine.

He added one more comment before i alighted from the car, ' Your school is really 鸟不生蛋的地方'.

Sometimes, i really think that my bro is quite a comedian at heart.

Surprisingly, even though we used to fight and quarrel so much, he's the one who talked me back to my sense and offered me help when i need it.

Apparently, Al went to friend expose me on some narcissistic question and tried to frame me when she's the one who's actually addicted to the mirror.

Then rich's comment reminded me on this hilarious incident.

That day, after lab, all of us waited for the lift, went inside and straight away face the mirror, to admire and tidy up our appearance and none, NONE, went to press the button for the lift.

So the lift just stayed there, the same floor for quite some time until someone realised that no one pressed the button.

Total LOL.

But can't blame ma, after lab, take off lab coat, must see whether attire got crumple anot, must see whether I took home any E. Coli cells with me anot.

HAH.

Back for some quick update.

Today is a rather un-productive day with hours spent on the table, head on the table, body on neko's bed and eyes closed.

Blame it on the nice weather!

The more I'm exposed to Biological Sciences, the more i'm amazed by the mysterious world that cells and mirco-organisms live in. Why're they so awesomely smart?

Scientists dedicate their entire life to explore their functions, to comprehend them, and it's still not enough. So many things left unsolved.

While the scientists and we students are cracking our brain to fathom them, all the cells are already miles ahead of us, adjust and adapt to all the different types of environment, survive it through, yada yada.

In any case, they're just bloody smart. Damn it.

It's my choice, and i ought to be responsible for it. But.. there're just so much so muchhhh things to plan and do before departure! Sian, kills the excitement for it only.

Then again, hehehe.

I'm so easily distracted. My room is so comfortable that it's so un-conducive for studying. -.-
